The SARG is a group of twenty-five researchers from twelve different universities across the United States. We are committed to investigating the impact of the study abroad experience on Americans (mainly college-level students) who visit other countries largely for the purpose of developing greater their language abilities and cultural competence.

We also seek to disseminate information concerning research on study abroad to students, parents, faculty, program administrators and all other interested parties. The FAQ, FACTS, REFERENCES and LINKS sections of our site are designed specifically for this purpose.
